भीष्मपतनविषये धृतराष्ट्रस्य प्रश्नाः | Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Questions on Bhīṣma’s Fall
निकारो निकृतिप्रज्जै: पाण्डवैस्त्वत्प्रतीक्षया | अनुभूत: सहामात्यै: क्षान्तश्न सुचिरं वने,पाण्डव आपलोगोंद्वारा अपने प्रति किये गये अपमान एवं कपटपूर्ण बर्तावको अच्छी तरह जानते थे, तथापि उन्होंने केवल आपकी ओर देखकर--आपफके द्वारा न््यायोचित बर्ताव होनेकी आशा रखकर दीर्घकालतक अपने मन्त्रियोंसहित वनमें रहकर क्लेश भोगा और सब कुछ सहन किया
nikāro nikṛtiprajñaiḥ pāṇḍavaistvatpratīkṣayā | anubhūtaḥ sahāmātyaiḥ kṣāntaś ca suciraṁ vane ||
Sañjaya sprach: „Die Pāṇḍavas—vollauf bewusst der Schmähungen und der Täuschung, die man gegen sie verübte—ertrugen es lange Zeit im Wald zusammen mit ihren Ministern, trugen die Mühsal in Geduld, weil sie weiterhin auf dich blickten, in der Hoffnung, du würdest gerecht handeln.“
