भीमसेनस्य बहुमहारथसंयुगः

यतो भीष्मस्ततो राजन दुष्प्रेक्ष्यो रश्मिवानिव । राजन्! तब भगवान् श्रीकृष्णने चाँदीके समान श्वेत वर्णवाले घोड़ोंको उसी ओर हाँका, जहाँ अंशुमाली सूर्यके समान दुर्निरीक्ष्य भीष्म युद्ध कर रहे थे || ४० हू ।। ततस्तत् पुनरावृत्तं युधिष्तचिरबलं महत्
sañjaya uvāca | yato bhīṣmas tato rājan duṣprekṣyo raśmivān iva | rājan! tadā bhagavān śrīkṛṣṇena cāndīke samānaśveta-varṇavāle ghōṛoṅko usī ora hāṅkā, jahāṅ aṃśumālī sūrya ke samāna durnirīkṣya bhīṣma yuddha kar rahe the ||
Sañjaya sprach: „O König, wo immer Bhīṣma stand, dort war er kaum anzusehen, lodernd wie die Sonne mit ihren Strahlen. Da lenkte der erhabene Herr Kṛṣṇa die weißen, wie Silber glänzenden Pferde genau dorthin, wo Bhīṣma, blendend wie die strahlende Sonne, kämpfte.“
