ऋषय ऊचु: प्रीता: सम तव वाक्येन न त्विच्छामस्तपोव्ययम् । तैरेव यज्जैस्तुष्टा: सम न्यायेनेच्छामहे वयम्,ऋषि बोले--महर्षे! आपकी बातोंसे हमें बड़ी प्रसन्नता हुई है। हम आपकी तपस्याका व्यय होना नहीं चाहते हैं। हम आपके उन्हीं यज्ञोंसे संतुष्ट हैं और न््यायसे उपार्जित अन्नकी ही इच्छा रखते हैं
ṛṣaya ūcuḥ: prītāḥ sma tava vākyena na tv icchāmas tapovyayam | tair eva yajñais tuṣṭāḥ sma nyāyenecchāmahe vayam ||
Die Weisen sprachen: „O großer ṛṣi, deine Worte erfreuen uns. Wir wünschen nicht, dass deine Askese geschmälert oder vergeudet werde. Wir sind mit eben diesen Opfern von dir zufrieden und begehren nur Speise, die auf rechtmäßige Weise erworben ist.“
