Āśvamedha-dīkṣā-nirdeśaḥ — Scheduling the Initiation and Assigning Protection for the Horse

उपयोक्तुं तदिच्छामि वाजिमेथे महाक्रतौ । “भगवन्‌! आपकी कृपासे जो वह रत्न लाया गया है, उसका अश्वमेध नामक महायज्ञमें मैं उपयोग करना चाहता हूँ

upayoktuṃ tad icchāmi vājimethe mahākratau |

Vaiśampāyana sprach: „Mit deiner Erlaubnis wünsche ich, jenes (kostbare Stück) im großen Opfer—dem Aśvamedha—zu verwenden, damit das, was durch deine Gnade erlangt wurde, einem dharmischen Zweck geweiht werde.“
