सो<यं जातो मृतस्तात पश्यैनं पुरुषर्षभ । उत्तरां च सुभद्रां च द्रौपदी मां च माधव,“तात! वही यह बालक है, जो मरा हुआ ही पैदा हुआ है। पुरुषोत्तम! इसपर अपनी कृपादृष्टि डालो। माधव! इसे जीवित करके ही उत्तरा, सुभद्रा और द्रौपदीसहित मेरी रक्षा करो

so ’yaṃ jāto mṛtastāta paśyainaṃ puruṣarṣabha | uttarāṃ ca subhadrāṃ ca draupadīṃ māṃ ca mādhava ||

Vaiśaṃpāyana sprach: „Mein Lieber, dies ist jenes Kind—tot geboren. O Stier unter den Menschen, blicke mit Erbarmen auf ihn. O Mādhava, indem du ihn wieder zum Leben erweckst, beschütze auch mich, zusammen mit Uttarā, Subhadrā und Draupadī.“
