इत्युक्तस्तामुत्तड़कस्तु भर्तुर्वाक्यमथाब्रवीत् । श्रुत्वा च सा तदा प्रादात् ततस्ते मणिकुण्डले,राजाके ऐसा कहनेपर उत्तंकने रानीके पास जाकर पतिकी कही हुई बात ज्यों-की-त्यों दुहरा दी। महारानी मदयन्तीने स्वामीका वचन सुनकर उसी समय अपने मणिमय कुण्डल उत्तंक मुनिको दे दिये
ity uktas tām uttaṅkas tu bhartur vākyam athābravīt | śrutvā ca sā tadā prādāt tatas te maṇikuṇḍale ||
So angesprochen ging Uttanka zu ihr und wiederholte Wort für Wort, was ihr Gemahl gesagt hatte. Als die Königin es hörte, fügte sie sich sogleich und übergab dem Weisen Uttanka die juwelenbesetzten Ohrringe — ein Akt unverzüglichen Gehorsams gegenüber einer rechtmäßigen Bitte und der Treue zum Dharma.
