Transliteration

gṛhītvā kuṇḍale divye gurupatnyāḥ priyaṅkaraḥ | javena mahatā prāyād gautamasyāśramaṃ prati ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana sprach: Nachdem Uttaṅka die beiden göttlichen Kuṇḍalas an sich genommen hatte—geliebt von der Gattin seines Lehrers und dazu bestimmt, sie zu erfreuen—brach er in großer Eile zur Einsiedelei Gautamas auf.
