उत्तङ्कोपाख्यानम् — Maṇi-Kuṇḍala Retrieval and Entry into Nāgaloka
Chapter 57
उत्तंक बोले--नरेश्वर! मैं कहाँ आपकी पत्नीको ढूँढ़ता फिरूँगा? मुझे क्योंकर उनका दर्शन हो सकेगा? आप स्वयं ही अपनी पत्नीके पास क्यों नहीं चलते? ।। सौदास उवाच तां द्रक्ष्यति भवानद्य कस्मिंश्चिद् वननिर्झरे । षष्ठे काले न हि मया सा शक््या द्रष्टमद्य वै,सौदासने कहा--ब्रह्मन! उन्हें आज आप वनमें किसी झरनेके पास देखेंगे। यह दिनका छठा भाग है (मैं आहारकी खोजमें हूँ), अतः इस समय मैं उनसे नहीं मिल सकता
saudāsa uvāca | tāṁ drakṣyati bhavān adya kasmiṁścid vananirjhare | ṣaṣṭhe kāle na hi mayā sā śakyā draṣṭum adya vai ||
Uttaṅka sprach: „O König, wo soll ich deine Gemahlin suchen? Wie könnte ich sie erblicken? Warum gehst du nicht selbst zu deiner Königin?“ Saudāsa erwiderte: „O Brahmane, heute wirst du sie bei einer Quelle im Wald sehen. Doch in diesem sechsten Teil des Tages kann ich ihr jetzt nicht begegnen—es ist nicht die Zeit, da ich sie sehen kann.“
