पृथ्वी पञ्चगुणा ज्ञेया चरस्थावरसंकुला । सर्वभूतकरी देवी शुभाशुभनिदर्शिनी,पृथ्वीके पाँच गुण समझने चाहिये। यह देवी स्थावर-जंगम प्राणियोंसे भरी हुई, समस्त जीवोंको जन्म देनेवाली तथा शुभ और अशुभका निर्देश करनेवाली है
pṛthvī pañcaguṇā jñeyā carasthāvarasaṅkulā | sarvabhūtakārī devī śubhāśubhanidarśinī ||
Vāyu sprach: „Wisset: Die Erde ist mit fünf Eigenschaften begabt. Sie ist eine göttliche Macht, erfüllt von beweglichen und unbeweglichen Wesen; sie bringt alle Geschöpfe hervor und macht durch ihre Ordnung und ihre Folgen sichtbar, was glückverheißend und was unheilvoll ist.“
