Vāyudeva

Educational Q&A

The verse identifies three key dharmic practices—charity (dāna), sacred study (adhyayana), and sacrifice (yajña)—as righteous actions that generate and sustain dharma (moral and religious merit).

Vāyudeva is instructing the listener by enumerating remaining prescribed duties, emphasizing that these three practices are specifically dharma-aligned means for cultivating righteousness and merit.
