अन्तर्वन-विद्यारण्योपमा

The Allegory of the Inner Forest of Knowledge

सुरभीण्येकवर्णानि पुष्पाणि च फलानि च | सृजन्तः पादपास्तत्र व्याप्य तिष्ठन्ति तद्‌ वनम्‌,चौथे वृक्ष सुगन्धयुक्त केवल एक रंगवाले पुष्प और फलोंकी सृष्टि करते हुए उस वनके सब ओर फैले हैं

surabhīṇy ekavarṇāni puṣpāṇi ca phalāni ca | sṛjantaḥ pādapās tatra vyāpya tiṣṭhanti tad vanam ||

Dort stehen die Bäume, über den ganzen Wald verbreitet, und bringen unablässig duftende Blüten und Früchte von nur einem Farbton hervor. Die Szene vermittelt eine stille, geordnete Fülle—die Beständigkeit und Reinheit der Natur als moralischer Gegensatz zur Unrast und zum Streit der Menschen.
