नात: परं सुखं त्वन्यत् किंचित् स्याद् भरतर्षभ । बुद्धिमान श्रद्दधानश्व पराक्रान्तश्व॒ पाण्डव,भरतश्रेष्ठ! इससे बढ़कर दूसरा कोई सुखदायक धर्म नहीं है। पाण्डुनन्दन! जो कोई बुद्धिमान, श्रद्धालु और पराक्रमी मनुष्य लौकिक सुखको सारहीन समझकर उसे त्याग देता है, वह उपर्युक्त इन उपायोंके द्वारा बहुत शीघ्र परम गतिको प्राप्त कर लेता है
nātaḥ paraṃ sukhaṃ tv anyat kiñcit syād bharatarṣabha | buddhimān śraddadhānaś ca parākrāntaś ca pāṇḍava ||
Vāyu sprach: „O Stier unter den Bhāratas, es gibt kein Glück, das höher wäre als dieses — überhaupt nichts anderes. O Pāṇḍava: Wer verständig ist, voller Glauben und standhaft im Bemühen, wer die weltlichen Genüsse als wesenlos erkennt und sie entsagt, der erreicht durch die oben beschriebenen Mittel rasch das höchste Ziel.“
