यो मां प्रयतते हन्तुं मोक्षमास्थाय पण्डित: । तस्य मोक्षरतिस्थस्य नृत्यामि च हसामि च । अवध्य: सर्वभूतानामहमेक: सनातन:,जो विद्वान्‌ पुरुष मोक्षका सहारा लेकर मेरे विनाशका प्रयत्न करता है, उसकी जो मोक्षविषयक आसक्ति है, उसीसे वह बँधा हुआ है। यह विचारकर मुझे उसपर हँसी आती है और मैं खुशीके मारे नाचने लगता हूँ। एकमात्र मैं ही समस्त प्राणियोंके लिये अवध्य एवं सदा रहनेवाला हूँ

yo māṁ prayatate hantuṁ mokṣam āsthāya paṇḍitaḥ | tasya mokṣa-rati-sthasya nṛtyāmi ca hasāmi ca | avadhyaḥ sarva-bhūtānām aham ekaḥ sanātanaḥ ||

Wenn ein Gelehrter, Zuflucht bei der Idee der Befreiung (moksha) nehmend, danach strebt, mich zu töten, dann ist er in Wahrheit durch eben diese Anhaftung an die Befreiung gebunden. Das sehend, lache ich über ihn und tanze vor Freude. Denn ich allein bin ewig und von keinem Wesen zu töten.
