साधु साध्विति सर्व: स जन: प्रतिगृहीतवान्‌ । वैशम्पायनजी कहते हैं--जनमेजय! साम्बके धर्मानुकूल और उत्तम गुणयुक्त वचन सुनकर समस्त प्रजा उन्हें सादर साधुवाद देने लगी तथा सबने उनकी बातका अनुमोदन किया

sādhu sādhv iti sarvaḥ sa janaḥ pratigṛhītavān |

Vaiśampāyana sprach: Als jene Worte — dem Dharma gemäß und von edlen Eigenschaften getragen — vernommen wurden, rief die ganze Versammlung des Volkes ehrerbietig: „Wohl gesprochen, wohl gesprochen“, und nahm das Gesagte an und billigte es.
