अध्याय ९ — धृतराष्ट्रस्य युधिष्ठिरं प्रति राजनित्युपदेशः
Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Counsel on Royal Policy to Yudhiṣṭhira
स राजन् मानसं दुःखमपनीय युधिषछ्िरात्
sa rājan mānasaṃ duḥkham apanīya yudhiṣṭhirāt
Vaiśampāyana sprach: O König, nachdem er Yudhiṣṭhira den Kummer aus dem Geist genommen hatte, (ging der Lauf der Ereignisse weiter). Diese Zeile hebt die ethische Aufgabe hervor, einen rechtschaffenen Herrscher zu trösten: Sein Gram muss gefestigt und besänftigt werden, damit das Dharma gewahrt bleibt, selbst im Alter und in der Entsagung.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Dharma is sustained not only by action but by inner steadiness; dispelling mental grief in a righteous leader is an ethical act that restores clarity, restraint, and right judgment.
