Bhīmasya paruṣa-vākyaṃ

Bhīma’s Harsh Speech Heard by Dhṛtarāṣṭra and Gāndhārī

इस प्रकार श्रीमह्याभारत आश्रमवासिकपवके अन्तर्गत आश्रमवासपर्वमें धृतराष्रका निर्वेदविषयक तीसरा अध्याय पूरा हुआ,गान्धारी च महाभागा प्राज्ञा करुणवेदिनी । पुत्रशोक॑ महाराज धैर्येणोद्वदहते भूशम्‌ महाराज! महाभागा गान्धारी परम विदुषी और करुणाका अनुभव करनेवाली हैं; इसीलिये ये महान्‌ पुत्रशोकको धैर्यपूर्वक सहती चली आ रही हैं

gāndhārī ca mahābhāgā prājñā karuṇavedinī | putraśokaṃ mahārāja dhairyeṇodvahate bhṛśam ||

Vaiśampāyana sprach: „O König, die edle Gāndhārī — weise und zutiefst von Mitgefühl durchdrungen — erträgt den heftigen Schmerz um ihre Söhne mit standhafter Geduld.“
