विदितं चापि राजेन्द्र विदुरस्य महात्मन: । गमनं विधिनानेन धर्मस्य सुमहात्मन:,'राजेन्द्र! महात्मा विदुरके, जो साक्षात्‌ महामना धर्मके स्वरूप थे, इस विधिसे परलोकगमनका समाचार तो तुम्हें ज्ञात हुआ ही होगा

Transliteration

viditaṃ cāpi rājendra vidurasya mahātmanaḥ | gamanaṃ vidhinānena dharmasya sumahātmanaḥ ||

Translation

Vaiśampāyana sprach: „O Bester der Könige, gewiss kennst du bereits die Kunde vom großbeseelten Vidura: wie er nach eben dieser vorgeschriebenen Weise aus dieser Welt schied. Denn Vidura war niemand anderes als Dharma selbst, von überragend hohem Geist.“
