Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s Departure for Forest Life
The verse highlights dhārmic speech: even when responding to counsel or difficult circumstances, one should speak with humility and proper respect—honoring rightful authority and maintaining decorum before presenting one’s view.
After Sahadeva has spoken, Draupadī listens and then addresses the king. Before speaking, she formally honors and greets him, signaling that her forthcoming words are offered within the etiquette of the royal and elder-centered setting.
