संधाय संधाय शरांक्षिक्षेप किल भार्गव: । तान् क्षिप्तान् रेणुका सर्वास्तस्येषून्दीप्ततेजस:
sandhāya sandhāya śarān akṣikṣepa kila bhārgavaḥ | tān kṣiptān reṇukā sarvās tasyaiṣūn dīptatejasaḥ ||
Bhishma sprach: „Immer wieder legte der Bhārgava die Pfeile an und ließ sie fliegen. Renukā sah all diese glühend strahlenden Geschosse, wie sie abgeschossen wurden, …“
भीष्म उवाच
The verse highlights relentless martial effort and the awe-inspiring potency of weapons; ethically, it points to the need for discipline and responsibility when wielding great power, since repeated, deliberate action amplifies consequences.
Bhīṣma narrates that Paraśurāma repeatedly aims and releases arrows. The missiles are described as blazing with splendor, and Reṇukā is presented as reacting to or taking note of those arrows as they are discharged.
