लेभिरे परम हर्ष मेनिरे चासुरं हतम्‌ । ततो देवा: प्रियाण्यस्य सर्व एव समाहरन्‌

Transliteration

bhīṣma uvāca | lebhire parama-harṣaṁ menire cāsuraṁ hatam | tato devāḥ priyāṇy asya sarva eva samāharan |

Translation

Bhishma sprach: Sie gelangten zu höchster Freude und wurden gewiss, dass der Asura erschlagen werde. Daraufhin versammelten sich alle Götter, trugen zusammen und brachten ihm die geliebten Gaben, die ihm teuer sein würden. (Im Zusammenhang preisen die Seher das Kind, und die Gandharvas besingen seinen Ruhm; angesichts seiner strahlenden, außergewöhnlichen Gestalt nehmen die Götter dies als glückverheißende Gewissheit, dass Tārakāsuras Ende nun feststeht.)
