Educational Q&A

Just governance and the restoration of rightful order after the defeat of disruptive forces lead society toward satya (truthfulness) and dharma (righteous conduct); collective well-being is shown as a natural outcome of dharmic sovereignty.

Bhīṣma recalls an earlier time: after the gods defeat the Daityas, Indra becomes ruler of the three worlds, and the people, rejoicing, assemble and commit themselves to living by truth and dharma.
