Chapter 85: Suvarṇasya Janma ca Pradāna-Phalam

The Origin of Gold and the Merit of Gifting

इच्छाम त्वां वयं ज्ञातुं का त्वं क्व च गमिष्यसि । तत्त्वेन वरवर्णाभे सर्वमेतद्‌ ब्रवीहि न:,इसलिये हम तुम्हारा परिचय जानना चाहती हैं। तुम कौन हो और कहाँ जाओगी? वरवर्णिनि! ये सारी बातें हमें ठीक-ठीक बताओ

icchāma tvāṁ vayaṁ jñātuṁ kā tvaṁ kva ca gamiṣyasi | tattvena varavarṇābhe sarvam etad bravīhi naḥ ||

Bhishma sprach: „Wir wünschen dich wahrhaft zu erkennen—wer du bist und wohin du gehst. O Frau von schöner, leuchtender Farbe, sage uns dies alles genau so, wie es ist.“
