ऑपन-माज बछ। डे अष्टमो< ध्याय: श्रेष्ठ ब्राह्मणोंकी महिमा युधिछिर उवाच के पूज्या: के नमस्कार्या: कान्‌ नमस्यसि भारत । एतन्मे सर्वमाचक्ष्व येभ्य: स्पृहयसे नूप,युधिष्ठिरने पूछा--भरतनन्दन! इस जगत्‌में कौन-कौन पुरुष पूजन और नमस्कारके योग्य हैं? आप किनको प्रणाम करते हैं? तथा नरेश्वर! आप किनको चाहते हैं? यह सब मुझे बताइये

Transliteration

yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | ke pūjyāḥ ke namaskāryāḥ kān namasyasi bhārata | etan me sarvam ācakṣva yebhyaḥ spṛhayase nṛpa ||

Translation

Yudhiṣṭhira sprach: „O Bhārata, wer ist wahrhaft würdig, verehrt zu werden, und wer verdient ehrerbietigen Gruß? Vor wem verneigst du dich selbst? Sage mir dies alles vollständig, o König — jene Menschen, für die du Achtung empfindest und die du zu ehren verlangst.“
