दानफलप्रकरणम् — उपानहदानं, तिलदानं, भूमिदानं, गोदानं, अन्नदानं च

Gifts and Their Stated Results: Footwear, Sesame, Land, Cows, and Food

मोदते च सुखं स्वर्गे देवगन्धर्वपूजित: । यो ददाति महीं सम्यग्‌ विधिनेह द्विजातये,जो यहाँ उत्तम विधिसे ब्राह्मणको भूमिका दान करता है, वह स्वर्गमें देवताओं और गन्धर्वोंसे पूजित हो सुख और आनन्द भोगता है

modate ca sukhaṁ svarge devagandharvapūjitaḥ | yo dadāti mahīṁ samyag vidhineha dvijātaye ||

Bhīṣma sagt: „Wer hier in dieser Welt einem Zweimalgeborenen (Brahmanen) ordnungsgemäß und nach vorgeschriebenem Ritus Land schenkt, der erfreut sich im Himmel des Glücks, geehrt und verehrt von den Göttern und den Gandharvas.“
