दानफलप्रकरणम् — उपानहदानं, तिलदानं, भूमिदानं, गोदानं, अन्नदानं च

Gifts and Their Stated Results: Footwear, Sesame, Land, Cows, and Food

फालकृष्टां महीं दत्त्वा सबीजां सफलामपि । उदीर्ण वापि शरणं यथा भवति कामद:,जो मनुष्य जोती-बोयी और उपजी हुई खेतीसे भरी भूमिका दान करता है अथवा विशाल भवन बनवाकर देता है, उसकी समस्त कामनाएँ पूर्ण हो जाती हैं

bhīṣma uvāca | phālakṛṣṭāṃ mahīṃ dattvā sabījāṃ saphalām api | udīrṇaṃ vāpi śaraṇaṃ yathā bhavati kāmadaḥ ||

Bhīṣma sprach: „Wer Land schenkt, das bereits gepflügt ist—mit Saat und schon mit Ertrag—oder wer ein geräumiges Haus als Zuflucht gewährt, dessen Gabe wird zum Wunscherfüller; sie vollendet die Ziele und Wünsche des Spenders.“
