Transliteration

pitāmahasya vadataḥ purā devasamagame | śrutavān asmi yad rājan tan me nigadataḥ śṛṇu rājān ||

Translation

Cyavana sprach: „O König, vor langer Zeit, in einer Versammlung der Götter, hörte ich eine Rede des Großvaters (Brahmā). So höre nun, o König, wie ich dir eben diese Lehre wiedergebe.“
