Compassion and Devotion—The Parrot Tested by Indra
विषये काशिराजस्य ग्रामान्निष्क्रम्य लुब्धक: । सविषं काण्डमादाय मृगयामास वै मृगम्,काशिराजके राज्यकी बात है, एक व्याध विषमें बुझाया हुआ बाण लेकर गाँवसे निकला और शिकारके लिये किसी मृगको खोजने लगा
viṣaye kāśirājasya grāmān niṣkramya lubdhakaḥ | saviṣaṃ kāṇḍam ādāya mṛgayāmāsa vai mṛgam ||
Bhīṣma sprach: „Im Gebiet des Königs von Kāśī ging ein Jäger aus dem Dorf hinaus, nahm einen mit Gift bestrichenen Pfeil mit sich und machte sich auf die Jagd, auf der Suche nach einem Hirsch.“
