Ānṛśaṃsya–Bhakti: Śukaḥ Śakreṇa Parīkṣitaḥ

Compassion and Devotion—The Parrot Tested by Indra

अथवा नात्र चित्र हि अभवद्‌ वासवस्य तु । प्राणिनामपि सर्वेषां सर्व सर्वत्र दृश्यते,अथवा इसमें कोई आश्वर्यकी बात नहीं है; क्योंकि सब जगह सब प्राणियोंमें सब तरहकी बातें देखनेमें आती हैं--ऐसी भावना मनमें लानेपर इन्द्रका मन शान्त हुआ

athavā nātra citra hi abhavad vāsavasya tu | prāṇinām api sarveṣāṁ sarvaṁ sarvatra dṛśyate ||

Bhīṣma sprach: „Oder auch: Wahrlich, für Vāsava (Indra) ist hierin nichts Verwunderliches. Denn unter allen lebenden Wesen sieht man überall alles in jeder Art.“ Als dieser Gedanke in ihm aufstieg, legte sich Indras Unruhe, und sein Geist wurde ruhig.
