तेषामन्तर्गत॑ ज्ञात्वा देवानां स पितामह:

teṣām antargataṃ jñātvā devānāṃ sa pitāmahaḥ

Bhīṣma sprach: „Als Pitāmaha (Brahmā) erkannte, was in ihnen verborgen lag—die innere Absicht und Verfassung der Götter—handelte er aus dieser Einsicht heraus und lenkte den Lauf der Dinge gemäß der kosmischen Ordnung und rechter Lebensführung.“
