Vipula’s Guru-Obedience, Divine Flowers, and the Peril of Others’ Oaths (विपुलोपाख्यानम्—पुष्पप्राप्तिः शपथ-प्रसङ्गश्च)

ऑपनआक्रात छा सं: एकोनचत्वारिशोड ध्याय: स्त्रियोंकी रक्षाके विषयमें युधिष्ठिरका प्रश्न युधिछिर उवाच इमे वै मानवा लोके स्त्रीषु सज्जन्त्यभीक्षणश: । मोहेन परमाविष्टा देवसृष्टेन पार्थिव,युधिष्ठिर बोले--पृथ्वीनाथ! संसारके ये मनुष्य विधाताद्वारा उत्पन्न किये गये महान्‌ मोहसे आविष्ट हो सदा ही स्त्रियोंमें आसक्त होते हैं

Yudhiṣṭhira uvāca: ime vai mānavā loke strīṣu sajjanty abhīkṣṇaśaḥ | mohena paramāviṣṭā devasṛṣṭena pārthiva ||

Yudhiṣṭhira sprach: „O König, in dieser Welt hängen sich die Männer immer wieder an die Frauen. Von einer mächtigen Verblendung überwältigt — als sei sie vom Schöpfer selbst verfügt — werden sie ein ums andere Mal in diese Faszination hineingezogen.“
