Viśvāmitra-janma: Ṛcīka–Satyavatī–Gādhi and the Charu Exchange (विश्वामित्र-जन्म: ऋचीक–सत्यवती–गाधि वृत्तान्तः)

जग्राह विधिवत्‌ पार्णिं तस्या ब्रह्मूर्षिसत्तम: | सा च त॑ं पतिमासाद्य पर हर्षमवाप ह,ब्रह्मर्षिशिरेमणि ऋचीकने उसका विधिवत्‌ पाणिग्रहण किया। वैसे तेजस्वी पतिको पाकर उस कन्याको भी बड़ा हर्ष हुआ

jagrāha vidhivat pāṇiṁ tasyā brahmarṣi-sattamaḥ | sā ca taṁ patim āsādya para-harṣam avāpa ha ||

Bhishma sprach: Der Vornehmste unter den Brahmarishis ergriff ihre Hand nach dem vorgeschriebenen Ritus (pāṇigrahaṇa). Und auch sie, da sie ihn als Gatten erlangt hatte, empfand übergroße Freude—denn sie fand in ihm einen strahlenden und würdigen Gemahl, ganz im Einklang mit dem Dharma.
