Tīrtha-vaṃśa Upadeśa: Instruction on the Fruits of Sacred Waters
अकल्ककस्य विप्रस्य रौक्ष्यात् करकृतात्मन: । वटवो यस्य भिक्षन्ति तेभ्यो दत्त महाफलम्
akalkakasya viprasya raukṣyāt karakṛtātmanaḥ | vaṭavo yasya bhikṣanti tebhyo dattaṃ mahāphalam ||
Bhishma sprach: Wenn ein argloser Brāhmaṇa, durch äußerste Armut abgehärtet, ein wenig Speise in seine Hände erhält und seine hungrigen Kinder sogleich flehen: „Gib mir, gib mir“, dann bringt eine Gabe an jenen Brāhmaṇa und an jene Kinder große geistige Frucht.
