Aṣṭāvakra–Strī-saṃvāda: Dhṛti, hospitality, and a dispute on autonomy
प्रीतो5स्मि सदृशं चैव तव सर्व धनाधिप । तव प्रसादाद् भगवन् महर्षेश्न महात्मन:,“धनाधिप! मैं बहुत प्रसन्न हूँ। आपकी सारी बातें आपके अनुरूप ही हैं। भगवन्! अब मैं आपकी कृपासे उन महात्मा महर्षि वदान्यकी आज्ञाके अनुसार आगे जाऊँगा। आप अभ्युदयशील एवं समृद्धिशाली हों।! इतना कहकर भगवान् अष्टावक्र उत्तर दिशाकी ओर मुँह करके चल दिये
prīto ’smi sadṛśaṃ caiva tava sarva dhanādhipa | tava prasādād bhagavan maharṣeśa mahātmanaḥ ||
Bhishma sprach: „Ich bin erfreut, o Herr des Reichtums. Alles, was du gesagt hast, entspricht ganz deiner edlen Natur. Durch deine gnädige Gunst, o Ehrwürdiger — o großherziger Herr unter den Weisen — werde ich nun weiterziehen gemäß dem Gebot jenes freigebigen großen ṛṣi. Mögest du stets an Wohlergehen und Wohlstand zunehmen.“ So sprach der ehrwürdige Aṣṭāvakra, wandte sein Antlitz nach Norden und ging davon.
