Aṣṭāvakra’s Visit to Kubera: Hospitality, Temptation, and the Ethics of Restraint (अष्टावक्र-वैश्रवणोपाख्यानम्)
इति मत्वा हृदि मतं प्राह मां सुरसत्तम: । मयि सम्भावना यास्या: फलात्कृष्णो भविष्यति
iti matvā hṛdi mataṁ prāha māṁ surasattamaḥ | mayi sambhāvanā yāsyāḥ phalāt kṛṣṇo bhaviṣyati ||
Parāśara sprach: „Als der Vornehmste unter den Göttern den in meinem Herzen gefestigten Wunsch erkannte, sprach er zu mir: ‚O Weiser, durch die Kraft deines ehrfürchtigen Strebens zu mir — durch dein Verlangen nach jener Gabe — wirst du einen Sohn namens Kṛṣṇa erlangen.‘“
