The verse emphasizes acting with humility and propriety: even a powerful or wise being proceeds only after receiving divine consent, and devotion (bhakti) is presented as the means of keeping the Lord present while offering praise.
Vāyudeva states that he first received permission and then performed a stuti (hymn of praise) to the Lord described as Yajñapati, indicating a reverent, sanctioned act rather than self-willed action.
