Bhīṣma sprach: «Urvāśī, Menakā, Rambhā, Miśrakeśī, Hāulambuṣā, Viśvācī, Ghṛtācī, Pañcacūḍā und Tilottamā—diese göttlichen Apsaras sollen unter den Verehrungswürdigen in Erinnerung bleiben.»
भीष्म उवाच
The verse contributes to a protective, auspicious remembrance: by invoking revered cosmic beings—including apsarases—one aligns with sacred order and seeks safeguarding from all beneficent powers, named and unnamed.
Bhīṣma is reciting a long enumerative invocation (a kind of protective litany). This line lists prominent apsarases as part of that catalogue of divine and cosmic entities whose remembrance is intended to confer protection.
