सौम्या गौ: सुरभियद्देवी विश्रवाश्व महानृषि: । संकल्प: सागरो गजड्जा स्रवन्त्यो5थ मरुद्गण:
bhīṣma uvāca |
saumyā gauḥ surabhir yad devī viśravāś ca mahān ṛṣiḥ |
saṅkalpaḥ sāgaraḥ gaṅgādyāḥ sravantyo 'tha marudgaṇaḥ ||
Bhīṣma sprach: «Auch (in dieser heiligen Reihe der Namen von Göttern und Sehern) werden genannt: die sanftmütige Kuh Surabhī, die Göttin; der große Weise Viśravā; Saṅkalpa (die Macht des Entschlusses); der Ozean; die strömenden Flüsse, beginnend mit der Gaṅgā; und die Scharen der Maruts.»
