दशबाहुस्त्वनिमिषो नीलकण्ठ उमापतिः । विश्वरूप: स्वयं श्रेष्ठी बलवीरोडबलो गण:
daśabāhus tv animiṣo nīlakaṇṭha umāpatiḥ | viśvarūpaḥ svayaṁ śreṣṭhī balavīro 'balo gaṇaḥ ||
Vāyu-deva sprach: „Er ist zehnarmig und ohne Blinzeln; der blaukehlige Herr, Gemahl der Umā. Er ist von universaler Gestalt, aus sich selbst in höchster Vortrefflichkeit gegründet—heldenhaft durch Kraft—und doch auch die ‚Schar der Machtlosen‘, Zuflucht und gemeinsamer Halt derer, die keine eigene Stärke besitzen.“
