अपना बछ। अफड-ण क्र एकोनषष्टर्याधेकशततमो< ध्याय: श्रीकृष्णका प्रद्मुम्नको ब्राह्मणोंकी महिमा बताते हुए दुर्वासाके चरित्रका वर्णन करना और यह सारा प्रसंग युधिष्ठिरको सुनाना युधिछिर उवाच ब्रृहि ब्राह्मणपूजायां व्युष्टिं त्वं मधुसूदन । वेत्ता त्वमस्य चार्थस्य वेद त्वां हि पितामह:

Yudhiṣṭhira uvāca | brūhi brāhmaṇapūjāyāṁ vyuṣṭiṁ tvaṁ Madhusūdana | vettā tvam asya cārthasya veda tvāṁ hi Pitāmahaḥ ||

Yudhiṣṭhira sprach: „O Madhusūdana, sage mir den wahren Ertrag und Nutzen, der aus der Ehrung und Verehrung der Brāhmaṇas erwächst. Du verstehst den Sinn dieser Sache gründlich, und auch mein Großvater hält dich für kundig darin.“
