The verse underscores a dharmic value: righteous society honors sacred learning and virtuous conduct. Even the gods rejoice at wise counsel and respond by praising the twice-born—especially brāhmaṇas—signaling the cultural-ethical ideal of reverence for spiritual knowledge and those devoted to it.
Bhīṣma narrates that after Nārada speaks, the gods (divaukasaḥ) become pleased and collectively extol the dvijas and the renowned brāhmaṇas, indicating approval of Nārada’s message and the elevated status accorded to learned, dharma-aligned persons.
