दानवैर्युधि भग्ना: सम तथैश्वर्याच्च भ्रंशिता: । तदस्मान्नो भयात् तीव्रात् त्राहि त्वं मुनिपुड्व,“मुनिवर! दानवोंने हमें युद्धमें हटाकर हमारा ऐश्वर्य छीन लिया है। इस तीव्र भयसे आप हमारी रक्षा करें"
dānavair yudhi bhagnāḥ sma tathaivaiśvaryāc ca bhraṃśitāḥ | tad asmān no bhayāt tīvrāt trāhi tvaṃ munipuṅgava ||
Bhishma sprach: „O erhabenster der Weisen, die Dānavas haben uns in der Schlacht zerschmettert und uns unserer Herrschaft beraubt. Darum rette uns vor dieser heftigen Furcht, die uns ergriffen hat.“
भीष्म उवाच
Worldly power (aiśvarya) is unstable; when it collapses through conflict, the proper response is to seek protection through legitimate moral-spiritual authority (a muni), emphasizing humility and refuge rather than pride.
A group speaking collectively reports that the Dānavas have defeated them in war and deprived them of their dominion; overwhelmed by intense fear, they appeal to a foremost sage for rescue.
