आदित्या: सत्रमासन्त सरो वै मानसं प्रति । वसिष्ठ॑ मनसा गत्वा ज्ञात्वा तत्‌ तस्य गौरवम्‌,“एक समय देवताओंने वसिष्ठ मुनिके गौरवको जानकर मन-ही-मन उनकी शरण जाकर मानसरोवरके तटपर यज्ञ आरम्भ किया

Ādityāḥ satram āsanta saro vai Mānasam prati | Vasiṣṭhaṁ manasā gatvā jñātvā tat tasya gauravam ||

Bhīṣma sprach: Die Ādityas hielten am Ufer des Mānasarovara-Sees eine Opfer-Sitzung ab. Nachdem sie die Größe des Weisen Vasiṣṭha erkannt hatten, traten sie ihm mit innerer Ehrfurcht nahe und begannen, seine Erhabenheit ehrend, dort das Ritual.
