धारिणीं सर्वभूतानामयं प्राप्प वरो नूपः । कथमिच्छति मां दातु द्विजेभ्यो ब्रह्मण: सुताम्
Arjuna uvāca—dhāriṇīṁ sarvabhūtānām ayaṁ prāpya varo nṛpaḥ | katham icchati māṁ dātuṁ dvijebhyo brahmaṇaḥ sutām ||
Arjuna sprach: „Ich bin die Trägerin aller Wesen und eine Tochter Brahmās. Da dieser vortreffliche König mich erlangt hat, warum will er mich den Zweimalgeborenen (den Brahmanen) verschenken?“
