अध्याय १६ — शङ्कर-उमा-वरदानम् तथा तण्डि-स्तुतिः (Śaṅkara–Umā Boon-Granting and Taṇḍi’s Hymn)
ऋषीणामभिगम्यश्न सूत्रकर्ता सुतस्तव । मत्प्रसादाद् द्विजश्रेष्ठ भविष्यति न संशय:
ṛṣīṇām abhigamyaśna sūtrakartā sutas tava | matprasādād dvijaśreṣṭha bhaviṣyati na saṁśayaḥ ||
„Dein Sohn wird zu den ṛṣi gehen und ihnen dienen und ein Verfasser von Sūtras werden. Durch meine Gnade wird er gewiss der Vornehmste unter den Zweimalgeborenen (dvija) sein—daran besteht kein Zweifel.“
