अपन बक। है २ >> त्रिपज्चाशर्दाधिकशततमो< ध्याय: वायुद्वारा उदाहरणसहित ब्राद्म॒णोंकी महत्ताका वर्णन वायुरुवाच शृणु मूढ गुणान्‌ कांश्रिद्‌ बाह्मणानां महात्मनाम्‌ | ये त्वया कीर्तिता राजंस्तेभ्यो5थ ब्राह्मणो वर:,वायुने कहा--मूढ़! मैं महात्मा ब्राह्मणोंके कुछ गुणोंका वर्णन करता हूँ, सुनो। राजन! तुमने पृथ्वी, जल और अग्नि आदि जिन व्यक्तियोंका नाम लिया है, उन सबकी अपेक्षा ब्राह्मण श्रेष्ठ है

vāyur uvāca | śṛṇu mūḍha guṇān kāṁścid brāhmaṇānāṁ mahātmanām | ye tvayā kīrtitā rājan tebhyo ’tha brāhmaṇo varaḥ ||

Vāyu sprach: „Höre, du Verblendeter, wie ich einige Tugenden der großgesinnten Brāhmaṇas darlege. O König, jene, die du eben gepriesen hast—ihnen gegenüber ist der Brāhmaṇa der Höhere.“
