Bhīṣma’s Yogic Departure, Royal Cremation, and Gaṅgā’s Lament (भीष्मस्य योगयुक्त्या देहत्यागः, पितृमेधः, गङ्गाविलापः)
ततो देवगिरौ तस्मिन् रम्ये पुण्ये सनातने । न शर्व भूतसंघं वा ददृशुर्मुन॒यस्तदा
tato devagirau tasmin ramye puṇye sanātane | na śarva-bhūtasaṅghaṃ vā dadṛśur munayas tadā ||
Dann, auf jenem schönen, heiligen und zeitlosen Devagiri, als die Weisen umherblickten, sahen sie weder den Herrn Śarva (Śiva) noch auch nur die Schar seiner Begleitwesen.
