Educational Q&A

Heaven is presented as the outcome of a life marked by justice (nyāya), virtue (guṇa), steady devotion to the gods, and respectful orientation toward the dvijas—together with personal uplift (samutthāna). Ethical character and disciplined advancement are emphasized as the basis of spiritual destiny.

Śrī Maheśvara states a general principle of dharma: people who live justly, cultivate virtues, honor the divine, and uphold reverence toward the twice-born while striving upward in conduct are described as 'svargagāmin'—fit to attain heaven.
