Pratyakṣa–Āgama–Ācāra: Doubt, Proof, and the Practice of Dharma (प्रत्यक्ष–आगम–आचारविचारः)

व्यपेततन्द्रिर्धर्मात्मा शकत्या सत्पथमाश्रित: । चारित्रपरमो बुद्धो ब्रह्मभूयाय कल्पते,जो पुरुष आलस्यरहित, धर्मात्मा, शक्तिके अनुसार श्रेष्ठ मार्गपपर चलनेवाला, सच्चरित्र और ज्ञानी होता है, वह ब्रह्मभावको प्राप्त हो जाता है

vyapetatandrir dharmātmā śaktyā satpatham āśritaḥ | cāritraparamo buddho brahmabhūyāya kalpate ||

Maheshvara sprach: Wer die Trägheit abgestreift hat, dem Dharma ergeben ist, den edlen Pfad nach Maß seiner Kraft beschreitet und in guter Lebensführung wie in Weisheit hervorragt—der wird tauglich, den Zustand Brahmans zu erlangen. Befreiung erscheint hier nicht als bloße Lehre, sondern als ethische Vollendung disziplinierter Anstrengung, gefestigten Charakters und rechten Verstehens.
