Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
शुभाशुभान्वितान् भावान् विसृजन् संक्षिपन्नपि । आस्ते देव्या सदाचिन्त्यो य॑ प्रार्थयसि शत्रुहन्,शत्रुनाशक श्रीकृष्ण! आप जिनकी प्रार्थना करते हैं, वे तेज और तपस्याकी निधि अचिन्त्य भगवान् शंकर यहाँ शम आदि शुभभावोंकी सृष्टि और काम आदि अशुभ भावोंका संहार करते हुए देवी पार्वतीके साथ सदा विराजमान रहते हैं
śubhāśubhānvitān bhāvān visṛjan saṅkṣipann api | āste devyā sadācintyo yaṃ prārthayasi śatruhan ||
Vāsudeva sprach: „Der, zu dem du betest, o Feindbezwinger—der ewig Unbegreifliche, der mit der Göttin weilt—bleibt hier und lässt fortwährend heilsame Regungen entstehen, während er die unheilsamen zügelt oder auflöst. So ist Śaṅkara, ein Schatz an Glanz und Askese, die Quelle innerer Ruhe und der Vernichter der Leidenschaften.“
