अध्याय १३२ — कर्मणा मनसा वाचा: स्वर्गमार्गः तथा आयुर्विपाकः
Adhyāya 132 — The path to heaven through deed, mind, and speech; karmic results for lifespan
श्रीरुवाच प्रकीर्ण भाजनं यत्र भिन्नभाण्डमथासनम् । योषितश्वैव हन्यते कश्मलोपहते गृहे
śrīr uvāca—prakīrṇa-bhājanaṃ yatra bhinna-bhāṇḍam atha āsanam | yoṣitaś caiva hanyate kaśmalopahate gṛhe ||
Śrī (Lakṣmī) sprach: „Ein Haus, in dem die Gefäße zerstreut liegen, die Gerätschaften zerbrochen sind und selbst die Sitze zerrissen, und in dem Frauen geschlagen und beschimpft werden — ein solches Heim ist durch Sünde befleckt. Aus einem derart entweihten Haushalt kehren die Götter und die Ahnen zu Zeiten des Festes und heiliger Observanz enttäuscht um; sie nehmen die dort dargebrachte Verehrung nicht an.“
